Nordhavn Boats For Sale

Nordhavns are a remarkable and noble breed of yacht. Designed to uphold powerful structures with the endurance to cross entire oceans with ease, these gorgeous vessels range from anywhere between 40 to 120 feet in length. The smallest motor powered vessel to ever circumnavigate the world was a 40-foot long Nordhavn! The live-aboard trawler spent 5.5 months at sea before returning to its starting point in California.

Here at Yacht Tech Inc, we make it our life's work to help new and existing Nordhavn owners by offering more than just Nordhavn boats for sale. We have cruised across the globe dozens of times on these magnificent vessels. We know, and love them, from stern to stern. Your purchase with us doesn't end when you buy your new boat. Our aim is to teach you everything we know about your vessel throughout your ownership, based on our firm belief that the more you know about your yacht, the more enjoyment you'll find in cruising with it.

Aboard the "Ocean Pearl" Nordhavn 64'

Follow the adventurous excursions of Martina and Braun Jones aboard their beloved Nordhavn 64' "Ocean Pearl". Their travels have taken them across the sea and back again. This blog shares the beautiful pictures and stories they capture as they circumnavigate the world. We suggest starting off with the history of their voyages and then exploring each journey more in-depth.
The motor yacht Ocean Pearl is owned and operated by Martina and Braun Jones. She is a small boat of the 'Adventure' or 'Expedition' yacht class, designed for worldwide cruising. She was built by PAE Yacht Builders (Nordhavn) and is a model N64. She has replaced our previous boat a Nordhavn 62, named Grey Pearl which in 2011 was tragically destroyed by fire in Phuket, Thailand. This tragedy temporarily interrupted our leisurely circumnavigation of the world, which began 13 years ago.

Florida Yachts - Nordhavn 43'

Levity - Nordhavn 43'
The Nordhavn 43 is the direct result of lessons learned on that challenging and very satisfying adventure. It also represents the culmination of what 25 years of quality boat building has taught us. Unlike other boat builders, they did not set out to design a 43-foot model to fit a marketing strategy. Instead they challenged themselves to make a great boat, the Nordhavn 40, even better. Likewise, they knew that the Nordhavn 47 was already on its way to becoming one of their all time best sellers. This was simply more boat than many people wanted or could afford. A careful comparison of both the 40 and new 47 formed the design parameters for a new model. It just happened to result in a 43-foot long boat. And it just may become the most popular Nordhavn yet.

Nordhavn 50' "Boundary Waters"

Sail away on Boundary Waters Nordhavn 50'.

Climb Aboard the Emily Grace

In 2008, they sold their home and set out aboard their Nordhavn 46, Emily Grace, for the adventure of a lifetime. Their travels are filled with educational stories, great adventure and heart warming encounters. Climb aboard the Emily Grace and join in the adventure at mvemilygrace.blogspot.com.
America's oldest museum happens to be The Charleston Museum right here in South Carolina. It opened in 1773, and from the beginning, displayed geological specimens from its surrounding areas. Outside there is a replica of the American Civil War H. L. Hunley submarine of the Confederate States of America. Drawing from my vast experience working at the Groton submarine factory (Ha Ha), I explained to Emily that the Hunley demonstrated the advantages and the dangers of undersea warfare. She was the first combat submarine to sink a warship, although Hunley was not completely submerged and, following her successful attack, was lost along with her crew before she could return to her base. Apparently, the bowsprit containing the explosive charge was not quite long enough!

Where Is the Istaboa?

Follow the quirky and humorous travel log of the Nordhavn 57' Istaboa. The Istaboa has logged thousands of miles in exploration. The owners don't miss a beat on the blog, keeping you updated as they skillfully balance business with pleasure. This yacht travel blog shares great pictures from each of their journeys. Read more here...
Becoming Istaboa: We happened on her for sale in Palm Beach, Fl and quickly realized, we found our boat. A 57 Nordhavn was always at the top of my list of great boats and it didn't take much poking around to see she was loaded with the right stuff as well as in good shape. We worked out our deal, took her out into 10' seas for a sea trial, took a night to think about it, and the rest is history. We now own a 57 Nordhavn. The previous owner kept a captain and mate busy on board and she was already in turn key mechanical condition. So without much fuss we loaded her up with fuel and made a run for the Abacos; then the Berrys, Eleuthera, and Cat. She ran flawlessly. After a few months of island cruising, we ran her around the Keys, across the Gulf of Mexico, and up the Tenn-Tom Waterway to Tennessee.

Down-Time Nordhavn 50

DOWN TIME Nordhavn 50, a gently used Florida yacht, is a superbly appointed example of the renowned Nordhavn 50. The N50 is legendary for it’s sea keeping ability with it’s incredibly stable low profile and bulbous bow. She was personally commissioned by the well respected Nordhavn mechanic James Knight during his time at Nordhavn corporate in Stuart, Florida. Down Time is one of the latest, and arguably finest examples of the venerable Nordhavn 50′s extant. The original owner sold the boat to the current owner “as new” shortly after taking delivery from PAE in 2004. The current owner has used her regularly and just enough to keep systems in top shape while not running up her hours, while sparing no expense in pampering her.

A Sneak Peek at the World’s Largest Yacht

German ship maker, Lurssen, delivered the world’s largest yacht, Azzam, on October 22, 2013. In addition to being the largest yacht in the world, with a length of 180 meters, it is capable of a top speed of over 30 knots.   The new mega-yacht breaks multiple records, including one in terms of building time: the yacht took less than three years to be built.

Mario Pedol from Nauta Yachts developed Azzam’s innovative and timeless design. The renowned French designer, Christophe Leoni, created the yacht’s interior design, which is described to be both sophisticated and luxurious, in a turn of the century style.
